MGSim - A simulation environment for multi-core research and education

چکیده
This article presents MGSim, an open source discrete event simulator for on-chip hardware components developed at the University of Amsterdam. MGSim is used as research and teaching vehicle to study the fine-grained hardware/software interactions on many-core chips with and without hardware multithreading. MGSim’s component library includes support for core models with different instruction sets, a configurable multicore interconnect, multiple configurable cache and memory models, a dedicated I/O subsystem, and comprehensive monitoring and interaction facilities. The default model configuration shipped with MGSim implements Microgrids, a multi-core architecture with hardware concurrency management. MGSim is furthermore written mostly in C++ and uses object classes to represent chip components. It is optimized for architecture models that can be described as process networks.

متن کاملDesigning a new multi-objective fuzzy stochastic DEA model in a dynamic environment to estimate efficiency of decision making units (Case Study: An Iranian Petroleum Company)
This paper presents a new multi-objective fuzzy stochastic data envelopment analysis model (MOFS-DEA) under mean chance constraints and common weights to estimate the efficiency of decision making units for future financial periods of them. In the initial MOFS-DEA model, the outputs and inputs are characterized by random triangular fuzzy variables with normal distribution, in which ...

متن کاملA Multi-Physics Simulation Model Based on Finite Element Method for the Multi-Layer Switched Reluctance Motor
Using ANSYS finite element (FE) package, a multi-physics simulation model based on finite element method (FEM) is introduced for the multi-layer switched reluctance motor (SRM) in the present paper. The simulation model is created totally in ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) as a parametric model usable for various conventional types of this motor and it is included electromagnetic, therm...
